Paper napkins made in Vietnam, for the retail shelf and for foodservice. The shelf is open, and the two trades on it want different products under the same word.
Two trades under one word
A retail napkin is sold in a printed pack to a household and competes on softness and design. A foodservice napkin is sold in bulk to a restaurant or a caterer and competes on cost per thousand and on fitting a dispenser. Ply, unfolded size and the fold itself are the specification for both, and the dispenser fold is not optional if the buyer already owns the dispensers.

Cheap to make, expensive to ship badly
Napkins are low value and high volume, so the freight is a large share of the landed cost and the packing is what decides whether a lane works: bales compress, cartons do not, and the difference across a container is real money. It is another line that finishes a heavy load rather than forming one. Send the fold, the ply and the destination and the desk will quote against the dispenser you are serving.
