What is on this shelf
Bibica covers the everyday range, from milk candy and fruit chews to the ginger and kumquat hard candies that sell hardest in the region. Chupa Chups is the lollipop, still the single most exported confectionery SKU in this trade. Mentos and Alpenliebe cover the chew and the caramel. Formats matter more than usual here: the same sweet exists as a jar for a counter, a bag for a shelf and a tin for the till, and they are three different SKUs.

Small units, big carton counts
Units per carton on this shelf reaches 300, because a carton of counter tins holds a great many of them, and drops to six for the jars. Candy is also the line most often used to fill the last cubic metres of a mixed container: it is light, it is not fragile, and it does not need temperature control. Shelf life is long enough that a slow-moving flavour is not a write-off, which is why buyers take a spread rather than one line.
